This is a list of a significant portion of the software that I rely upon for work. Well, some are for entertainment too. Running multiple systems and a couple different OS (including a few separate versions on Windows) often necessitates using freely available open-source software. The programs in this selection will likely be most useful for students, web and graphic designers, as well as other professionals.

It is possible to have a Drupal multi-site setup on IIS 6.0, using the FastCGI extension to connect to PHP. In fact, it is necessary to use FastCGI rather than ISAPI to have a multi-site setup, as well as to be able to setup up Clean URLs. FastCGI also tends to be faster than ISAPI because it recycles processes for server requests.

This site was inspired, if not necessitated, by the fact that I started to post Drupal write-ups. I am calling this collection "Drupal base". I decided against putting the longer posts on drupal.org. While I find the documentation and forums about Drupal very useful, I realize it can be a bit technical for a lot of users.
